This is the second part of Japan photography. If you haven’t done so, have a look at Part 1 of the series.
For the second week of our honeymoon trip, we took the Shinkansen, Japan’s bullet train, to Kyoto and Hiroshima/Miyajima. Fortunately Kyoto greeted us with slightly warmer temperature, but especially sunny weather. Kyoto is a beautiful , more traditional city, surrounded by mountains on the horizon. And for a change, we stayed in a spacious Deluxe Junior Suite at The Westin Miyako — the other hotels we booked have tiny rooms. We also spent a night in Hiroshima before returning to Tokyo to do some last-minute shopping.
You have to admire the Japanese illustrations for the public. This one is for a park. Take a guess at the second picture on the bottom row.
This green trail is the Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama in Kyoto.
We did not expect to have snowy weather in Kyoto, but we’re glad it did for one night as it presented us with a beautiful backdrop.
Guess what we discovered on our trip to Kyoto? Purplest’s first true fan!
